What We Do

Family life at the Resource Center with case manager, Rachel Brown.

Our Mission

To help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.

Family Promise of Greater Concord brings people in need together with people who want to help. We provide the framework that turns compassion into action.

Our Vision

A region and community in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future.

How do we achieve this?

It is a two-pronged system. Our rotating interfaith host sites provide temporary housing, meals, and support services to parents and their children. Many of these families have fallen on challenging times and, often through no fault of their own, have become homeless. With help from the over 500 volunteers, families are able to sleep safely and have one less worry about how they will feed their children in a healthy way.

At the same time, our staff helps those same families with daily guidance and case management.  Whether it is connecting parents with community resources for housing or helping them to secure a job, our Family Promise staff works hard to give our families the help that they deserve to conquer the barriers that would, otherwise, stand in their way.
